The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies to the community.
SASSA might be rendering expert services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency explained it can be alarmed about the substantial number of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the high quantity of clients/beneficiaries to SRD access SASSA services.
“This is as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office committed to service the area daily. The assistance issue established for intervention experiences a high inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it hard for your office to attend to all people who visit a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more resources to enable the servicing of all clients and boost access to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
